Brown's the name: Andrew Brown. I’m a freelance animator, visual effects and motion graphics artist based in Sydney, Australia. Right now I’m the Lead Animator and Animation Director for the children’s series Fizzy & Suds on ABC Kids.

I’ve been freelancing since 2009, working mainly in Maya, Fusion and After Effects, with plenty of time spent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate and whatever else I need to learn to get the job done.

But I don’t just use software,  I lbuild on top of it. I like to create bespoke tools and scripts that make my workflows smoother, faster, and more fun.

I’ve studied a lot of animation! I first studied an Advanced Diploma of Animation at Holmesglen TAFE back in 2005–2006, later completed an Advanced Diploma of VFX at AFTRS (2017), and went on to finish a Master of Arts Screen in Animation at AFTRS (2019).

These days I seasonally lead the 3D animation team on Fizzy & Suds, now moving into Series 3. I designed, modelled and rigged the main characters, and built the full 3D animation pipeline with custom tools.
